Training is all positive, reward based, with no use of force, fear, or intimidation. Positive training is fun for you and your dog and builds the bond between you. Working together to learn new skills, you will become a closer team with improved communication and trust.
Dogs must be healthy and age appropriate vaccination or titre test records are required. We cannot accept dogs who are aggressive toward dogs or people. No pinch collars, choke collars or flexible leashes.

Location - Local Outdoor Mall
These two fun courses focus on the skills dogs need for good manners in public places. A skills practice session will be followed by evaluations. Although CGC training is recommended, there are no age, breed or AKC title requirements. All dogs who are healthy and friendly toward people and dogs are welcome.
Enjoy training and walking your dog throughout a local outdoor mall. Skills include using stairs and elevator, walking on multiple surfaces, visiting a store, meeting new people and more. Dogs who have passed Canine Good Citizen may earn the Urban Canine (CGCU) and Community Canine(CGCA) titles.
AKC CANINE GOOD CITIZEN
CGC - THE AKC GOLD STANDARD OF DOG TRAINING
Canine Good Citizen starts February 20, 2022. $180.
Sundays from 3:00 to 4:00 pm, Feb. 20, 27, March 6, 13, 20, 27.
Individual evaluations on Sunday, March 27 at scheduled times.

The American Kennel Club's Canine Good Citizen program promotes good manners for dogs and responsible pet ownership. The AKC states that CGC is the first step toward Therapy and Service Dog. Dogs must have basic obedience skills and be friendly toward other dogs and people. Five sessions provide skills training to prepare you and your dog for the evaluation in the 6th session. You'll get personal coaching and tips for success. Teams that pass the test can get an AKC certificate and title.

Animal Medical Center of Jupiter
All ages and breeds are welcome to learn the basic obedience skills. Training includes name recognition, sit, down, come, stay, leash walking, and drop-it. These are the core behaviors that are required for a well-behaved dog.
The first session is for handlers only. It gives you practical skills that offer in-depth preparation for this course. When you bring your dog for next four sessions, you will feel confident and comfortable as their trainer! In four fast moving sessions, you and your dog will bond and master the core obedience skills.
House trained, friendly dogs at least 7 months old are welcome.
ESSENTIAL MANNERS - BEYOND OBEDIENCE
Three one hour sessions in Jupiter
This course goes beyond basic obedience skills and focuses on polite canine behavior, at home and in public. Skills include:
*No jumping on people *No biting or nipping *Door training *Leave-it *Greeting people politely *Go to your place *Control Barking *Drop It
Dogs are required to have basic obedience skills (sit, down, stay, come, walk nicely on leash) and be friendly to other dogs and people.
AKC TRICKS
So Much Fun!
In two enjoyable and stimulating sessions, we will lead you through a variety of easy to learn, novice level tricks. You'll be surprised by what your dog will learn. Dogs enjoy and benefit from brain training and bonding with you.
All ages and breeds, including mixed breeds are welcome and can earn at title. Your dog can earn an AKC title for performing 10 tricks. Dogs with a CGC certificate need only 5 tricks for the Novice title. Our students say this class is the most fun with their dogs!
PUPPY KINDERGARTEN
Four, one-hour sessions in Jupiter
All puppies need a good start!
Bring your puppy for the crucial early learning and exposure that every pup needs. In addition to basic obedience skills, this class will include play with other puppies, socialization experiences, handling and grooming, information for owners and answers to your questions. Positive, loving and fun! Puppies from four months old with up to date vaccinations are welcome.
